Mechanical & Electrical EstimatorREF: MEE DB
We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Estimator to join the team at our Chemical Dosing Division in Dalgety Bay.
This is a full- time position (40 hrs per week). This will be a demanding role, which will require the post holder to adhere to tight time scales whilst producing accurate and realistic tenders, to ensure contracts are won whilst remaining deliverable.
The successful candidate will be responsible for and experienced in preparing analytical estimates and realistic tenders that ensures business sustainability through securing contracts. A further function of the role is to calculate and prepare tender submissions, prepare accurate contract costs that deliver the full scope associated with the client brief, with appropriate levels of margin recovery to deliver the required project profitability. Tender pricing will be prepared from drawings and detailed specifications provided by the Client or internally by Ross-shire Engineering. On some occasions, a high-level budget price will also be required based on a scope of works only and this will require the candidate to deploy their extensive experience and co-ordination with the Ross-shire Engineering design and project delivery teams. Following tender submissions, there is a requirement to attend client meetings, and to negotiate and record all changes to the tender price as necessary.
The ideal candidate will be a self-sufficient Estimator with experience in a similar role and will ideally have experience in the Water, Industrial and Chemical Dosing sectors. The candidate should possess a Degree/HND/HNC in an engineering discipline or equivalent. They also must have the ability to interpret drawings and specifications to allow for the preparation of Bills of Quantities/Schedules of rates and other such procurement documentation. While displaying the ability to read and understand the sequencing of programmes or schedules.
